Proper sleeve length on Aero jacket

My new Aero jacket covers the base of my thumb. Should I have it shortened?

I like the sleeves to be around the knuckles, so that when I stretch out my arms, the sleeves don't ride up. However, I think it depends also on the style of the jacket. Both my jackets have pretty narrow sleeves and openings (one is a zip sleeve), so they don't ride down past the wrists. In another one of my posts, someone thought that the sleeves in my jacket actually looked too short, but it's just the design of the jacket.

For a HWYman, I would think that the length you have is pretty good. As you wear the jacket more, the leather will start to break in at the elbows, thus effectively shortening the sleeves. Regardless, I wouldn't do anything until the jacket was more broken in.

The sleeves on the Highwayman appear to be slanted. They are longer towards the pinky while being shorter near the forefinger/thumb. The sleeves hit the knuckle on my pinky while just reaching the crease where my forefinger and thumb meet, two inches above the knuckle on my forefinger.

Action back or no action back

Without action back, I would say the sleeves should reach almost to the knuckles for good articulation. If you're royalty, however, and rarely have to lift your arms, you won't need the extra length. All my jackets are for action, including driving, so they are almost to my knuckles when my arms are to my side.

Good info from P5640blouson and Highand Dry.......also depending on the torso fit of your Highwayman, the sleeves may ride up some depending on your garment worn under the jacket. This looks especially ridiculous when guys layer thick garments under a trim fitting jacket such as an A-2 or G-1; end of sleeves at wrist bone and waistband 2" above the belt.
Your Highwayman is a boxier cut so that probably won't be an issue and sounds like the sleeve length is right where they should be.
