    Five Star Leather Jackets

Has anyone added a shearling liner to a jacket that's too big? I suppose it would involve some cost/risk to send the jacket to Five Star, but they seem skilled enough (and offer repair services) to do the job. Hmmm...

What's the best way to keep up with Fedora Lounge posts?

This may seem like a silly question... And quite honestly makes me feel old to ask. Where's my teenage niece when I need her? How do you interface with the Fedora Lounge? I tried pulling it up on my phone to check the forums I follow periodically, but I was missing a lot. Now, I keep my...

Jacket zipper pulls, medallions and charms.

With that tail and the teeth, it's definitely a beaver. Although every time I see it in this thread, all I can think about is the Heritage Coffee Company logo in Juneau... https://fwtmagazine.com/cruising-alaska-with-holland-america/

Schott 618hh. The good, the bad, and the ugly.

There's a fit tool on the Schott website that has been pretty accurate for me. You enter your stats, including how you want the jacket to fit, and it gives you a size recommendation for the specific style.

    Five Star Leather Jackets

I I just checked out the website. There are different sizing charts for different styles.

Nik's leather jacket sale vintage and repro brands sizes 36 and 38

Great jackets! I was going to inquire on eBay, but thought others here might benefit from the answer, too: What's shipping to the US?

Ready to order Aero Highwayman looking for some input before doing so.

I’m still waiting for @ton312 to weigh in. I suppose it’s only 6:30am there right now... I’m a huge fan of the zip sleeves on the Highwayman. One thing I don’t think anyone has mentioned yet is the dreaded lining droop that seems to happen more with wool linings. I’ve always assumed it’s...

Full custom Field Leathers Idaho review

It’s a beautiful jacket! Thanks for the thoughtful review. I think I speak not only for the the entire Fedora Lounge, but also the internet... We’d like to see your “cool face.” We promise not to tell your girlfriend.

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

First off, it's a vintage mirror; It's not dirty :-) The creases I was referring to are demonstrated on this Aero Seven: I can make them go away (more or less) if I shrug my shoulders up to create a boxier frame: And they're improved if I zip the jacket up: As with everything, I...

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

As far as creases on the chest from the neck, that is very much a factor of the shape of your shoulders, posture, and trapezius muscles (in addition to jacket cut and size, obviously). I have fairly pronounced traps, and see the creases more often than I’d like. Those creases don’t seem to show...

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

My Cheaney Tamars are perhaps my all-time favorite footwear. I love my Red Wing Iron Rangers, but I'm not too keen on the natural-colored leather around the base on the black version. I wonder if something similar to the Bowery boots is available now.

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

The attention to detail here is both a blessing and a curse. I was just checking out Field Leathers’ website and noticed this product photo.

Marc, cool jacket and cap toes! What brand are the boots?

Should I make a vest out of this Schott 125?

Normally I’d bit AGAINST cutting the sleeves off a vintage jacket, but since this one is essentially unwearable and unsellable as-is, I say go for it!

Aero Board Racer - fit advice needed!

Looks pretty close to perfect! I’d be worried about it being too baggy if you size up, but that’s my personal preference. You could maybe add a half inch to the arms, but again, totally just what you prefer. I feel like the benefit of getting a custom jacket is getting one that’s trim and looks...

How do YOU break in a new jacket?

Thanks! I'm looking at the Seven for sale in the classifieds. The measurements seem spot on, but the seller says the sleeves are too long on him. I feel like I'm going blind trying to look at his measurements, my measurements, and the measurements of jackets that fit well. I suppose there's only...

Is my Aero FQHH board racer "seven" too small?

Leatherweather, I'd love to see an update on how the jacket looks these days!

How do YOU break in a new jacket?

I know I've seen the answer here before, but I can't seem to find it by search... What's the typical shinkage expected with arms with wearing in? I assume it's different for different types of leather. What's been your experience?
