Try your beauty supply stores, ask for some kind of a bun ring. If not, you can easily make your own out of some old stockings stuffed with hair from your brush, cheap extensions, or cotton. :)
You won't have shrinkage issues at all. I think that dress (which is cute, btw!) would be fine with a hand wash, or even the gentle cycle in the machine. The only thing that came to mind was when I saw the lining - I thought it was silk, which would water stain, but if its nylon then no problem.
It really puts into perspective how much progress we've made in so little time. And thank goodness we have... Using any kind of Lysol to clean my innards? I'd rather bathe in motor oil!
Ah yes - She includes it in her book, too. My bangs are a wee-bit too short for it... It comes out looking rather anemic lol So I stick with the rolled bang revolution rat.

Good question! When purchasing vintage (not repro) there are many more things to consider than size and colour. For example, say I run into a really great 40's rayon dress. Here are the questions I will ask myself:

Love, love, love AG products. They're also made in Canada, which is only a plus for me. They have an amazing purple shampoo, hairspray, and smoothing lotion, called Fast Food. I'd recommend it to anyone.
