Well, I would not be so self assured that the US treats animals in a significantly better way. Slaughterhouses in particular have been known to be some pretty awful places. And if you eat veal....
Look, I am no fan of PETA; and I think Ingrid Newkirk is downright batty most of the time...
If it's any help, I heard back from Steve at the end of January shortly after he posted this. I cannot offer any explanation as to the uneven nature of his responsiveness, but as far as I know, he's still making hats and sending them out as best he can.
Hoodies are my wardrobe bread and butter. Here's a typical style of outfit for me, hoodie layered under another jacket because I get cold easily (I have a longsleeve thermal on under the tshirt too!).
My VS Playboy got it's first rain a few weeks ago, so I took the opportunity to tighten up the crease a bit, and finally got around to taking another picture.
Still loving this hat. Took this pic in very full sun, which highlights the the suede finish, and you can see the contrast stitching...
Thanks David, I'm really liking this one and get a lot of compliments around town with it. As best I can figure, even folks who don't know anything about hats can just tell that this is a nice one. I think that's the best testament to Art's work. With all of his hats you can tell that it's...
Have kept a low profile because Photobucket STILL hasn't worked out the all the bugs and I can't easily resize my pictures, so apologies for the obnoxious size. But, joining in on the Fawcett Friday fun with my one and only (so far!) VS. High angle shot today; with the sun shining, you can see...

The best advice is to try a bunch on and figure out what you like.
Jeff: that's a killer CB, congrats on that score.
Alan: another wonderful Homburg. That color combo is right up my alley!
Tom: Great ribbon on that Lee, and a dapper combo with the shirt and suspenders too.
I'd bet you could land 4 vintage stingies on eBay, all of which would be of higher quality, for the price of that Borso. A modern Borso is a decent hat, but like Stetson, they're banking on the history of the Borsalino brand. You'll get a nice hat if you buy that one. But with hats, the old...
If a stingy is what you're after, my suggestion would be eBay. Vintage hats are simply of better quality, and you will most likely save money. Especially if you're looking at the prices of new Borsos.
