@ Dudleydoright: That's news to me. I always thought that the Irvin was issued to the pilot. Hence the many "named Irvins".

I know - it's not 1940. This is not Biggin Hill and I am NOT a pilot.
It just feels like it. In my heart.
We all dress up - some more - some less - in vintage.
Some because they wish they lived in another time.
Some because it ads something to their personallity - or even IS a great part of their personallity.
Some of us do it to get away - or to stand out.
And some of us just do it, because...
