Thanks gals!
I finally found out about my bracelet over Easter weekend.
"Lille B. Bass" was my Great Aunt Lillian's friend. I was told she was "old" even back in the 40s and 50s and that she died in '49 or '50. The bracelet is from the 1900s or 1910s -- I was told no newer than 1920...
I couldn't agree more. Even more so than my beloved movies. Everytime I get a new Photoplay in the mail I always feel as though it was mailed to me from another dimension :o
Sometimes when I'm watching movies I tend to drift, but I can get so lost in my 20s and 30s movie magazines that...
My husband is sick of me constantly saying this, but I'm going to unleash it here...
...on April 5th, 1995 I was with my old boyfriend Bob on the Wildwood Boardwalk in a Sex Pistols T-shirt!!!!
It's now 12 years later and there was a tiny bit of a SNOWFALL yesterday morning when I took...
My prized possession is my movie magazine collection, spanning 1912 to 1961. Plus both Stars Of The Photoplay books, 1924 and 1930.
Here they all are, in order, sans 3 which are in the mail right now:

I have way too many to name!
Instead of listing 3873923874 titles of movies, here are some of the "chick flick" actresses I tend to gravitate towards most:
Ann Harding
Kay Francis
Ruth Chatterton
Dorothy Mackaill
Norma Shearer
Joan Crawford
Jean Harlow
Barbara Stanwyck
Joan...
I recorded all the movies last night. I especially can't wait to watch Double Harness (1933), which will be happening tonight when I get home. I LOVE Bill Powell and Ann Harding!
I just think of how much cooler I am than them!!! :p :p :p lol lol lol
Really, I have a fabulous life and circle of friends. My diverse interests have always given me great pleasure, too. Indulging in one of them makes me feel better INSTANTLY.
Amy: Beloved
Most popular in the 1970s -- the decade I'm least interested in (also the decade I was born!)
Least popular in the 1930s -- the decade I'm most interested in.
Figures. "Amy" is a very 70s name, I think. It always makes me think of hippies for some reason [huh]
I love the 1920s and 1930s. More 1930s and more glamourised, romanticised MOVIE visions of that decade. I'm a huge 20s and 30s film buff and get most of my ideas from there. I love over-the-top glamour. While I *do* understand that the real 20s and 30s were *not* the movies, I still see no...
Just my 2 cents...
I started using Ponds about 2 weeks ago because of this very forum and I've had no problems with it. At first I was using it twice a day, but found that it left my face feeling like it had a thin layer of blotchy grease on it. I've gone down to once a day at night right...
I got more samples today:
Shimmer Beige Eyeshadow
Peacock Blue Eyeshadow
Cherry Red Lipstick
Besame Red Lipstick
Again, I'm impressed with the amount of eyeshadow I was given and now I have enough Besame eyeshadow samples to last me at least a year. I literally use just a tiny particle...
That's exactly what happened with me. A bit of mainstream 50s nostalgia lead me to vintage. From there I began to dig deeper and deeper until I finally landed in the 20s and 30s. And I'm quite happy here.
