    Langenberg / Beaver Brands

Spotted this today in a local vintage store. I almost bought it but for the pinch-hole... Quality-wise, it's hard to believe it's so modern as the felt is way nicer than I associate with modern-ish hats. But, it does really have an Indiana Jones vibe to it, so I can see it being made around...

I hope so! The balsawood milliner's form that I slipped it over for the pics is 22" at it's widest point, about 2" from the top. There seems to be a decent amount of extra room to play with. Only one way to know for sure though... Cool Baku, btw. I have yet to experience that particular straw type.

OTHER THAN eBAY Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

Hey everyone! Every so often I get lucky with the ladies. Err...I mean the ladies' hat section of Shopgoodwilldotcom that is! That was where I found my (slightly damaged) Optimo Superfino a few years back. So recently, as I was perusing page after page of frilly feathery flowery and netty...

    ADAM ALLEY

Continued... And a mug shot or two. Selfie grimace at full strength. The crown is about 5 1/4" open, 4 1/2" as creased. The brim is 2 3/8". It weighs 127g. Despite the 7 1/8 size it fits my 7 1/4 head albeit snugly. The felt is dense yet malleable dry, with a nice soft hand. All...

    ADAM ALLEY

Hey all! This Adam Executive was at one of my local thrift stores today. At $12.50 I couldn't pass it up. Might even be it's original price. Color is Coffee Mix. The insides So is HI MOUNT the model name? I wonder... :) Some pics in different light.

Hey everyone! Trouting out this 1950-ish Dobbs Rainbow. Perfect hat to wear when fishing for likes. :) Have a great day!

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Hey all! Wearing this offering from Motsch Fils, made for them by Ecuyer & Thomas. I don't know the date of manufacture, but going by the general look of it, I have a suspicion it was made around 1981-ish... Have a great day!

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Thanks Stefan! The cold season is a good time to think about how you want those straws finished! And remember, despite any outward grimacing or dog masks, I'm always smiling on the inside... :)

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Hey all! Wearing this Panama I made from an unfinished hood several years ago. Plus, I think I solved the selfie-grimace issue... :) Have a great day!

Hats you like all out of proportion to their quality

This Panama that I found thrifting several years ago fits this thread well. It's not my oldest, nor my finest, just a mid-grade unblocked body that I finished myself. I have fancier straws, and nicer looking ones with brim curls and such, but this one is the one I reach for most of the days I...

    French Hats and makers.

Nice. Could the date be so easy as 8 M (Mars or Mai) (19) 55 as is handwritten above the brand on the paper label? Would be convenient...
