Hey all! Although I gave up tobacco almost 18 years ago, i smoked for 25 years before that. Everything from cigs in jr. high and high school (including a lot of roll-your-owns when I was broke) to adding cigars and pipes to my smoking menu in my 20's, I enjoyed tobacco in most every form besides...- moehawk

I don't really know the answers to the value questions. I have, however, removed several liner tip protectors over the years, but not for dirt or such. I usually only take them out if they are already torn or otherwise damaged, or if they interfere with my ability to crease and pinch the hat how... -

I hear the Czechs are planting their farmed beavers in nice straight evenly spaced rows with their bellies all facing the same direction to make it easier for the automated shaving combines to do their work come harvest time. Seems quite humane to the beavers up to the part where they slap on... -

Nice score! These lesser known makers are always fun to research. When did the printer's bug on the union label go to the diagonal position? That might help to narrow down the date. -

If memory serves, Byron was a smaller company that was acquired by HCA at some point. They were one of their economy priced brands. That hat would be post HCA purchase. -

Nice score. I had that on my watchlist for about an hour before you got lt. I was tempted, but I decided it was too nice to feed to my moths. They wouldn't really appreciate it. If memory serves, the plain debossment puts it before 1950. Way cool. -
