I would definitely not sell it untill you have spent a winter with both sizes.
But i agree with you that it is a bit big, at least with only a T-shirt.
To me the brown J-24 is far too big, i have never worn it once, i just keep it cause its a brown J-24 and something you don't see everyday, but...
IMO you are starting to get "the fold" in the the back on the left side.
That happens when a jacket is too large, not filled and is folding on itself.
I have somethig similar going on with my Legendary USA J-24:
Admitedly, it's much less pronounced in your case, but it is still there.
IMO a...
That looks really cool.
I really like the trucker french seamed back with a cafe racer front, it's a really cool combo.
Elbow pads without shoulder pads is also a nice unusual touch.
I find it interresting/weird that they would use so many french seams but only single stitch the shoulders, i...
I'm pretty sure these are two different jackets rather than diferent versions of an original.
There are old original Leathertogs versions and old original Buco versions of both.
A few people on TFL have that jacket on order, the one pictured is No1 and actually belongs to @red devil but as far as i know he hasn't received it yet. And no one knows how this model fits as of yet.
I have one on order too, should be number 2 or 3, should be done in 6 to 8 weeks.
All i can...
Probably not what you want to hear but i agree.
IMO 1"less in the arms would still be 2" too long, and the body would still bee too long and somewhat oversized.
If it where me i would sell it and order a custom...
I really like the underarm gussets and the pleats on the top of the shoulders, i wonder how it affects fit.
I wonder if a dual tone in black would look interresting or if it would just not be noticeable?
For example using a teacore black for the dark parts and an oil tanned black all the way...
Only thing i can think of is that you need to move to California to get the correct sun.
Think about it, everyone in the UK is pale, maybe our sun just isn't setup right for taning.
So you went from a Strawman to a an Ad Hominem, nice, really nice.
My position has not changed since post 12, i am not the one coming up with a bunch of fallacies and believing "bro science", i am simply asking for a proof with a known measuring device.
You leaning forward 1" and/or having your arms forward 1" more on one picture or the other would be enough to create an optical illusion that could explain a 3-9mm variation.
Here, i added a line connecting the first knuckle of your hand on both sides, the space between your crotch and the line...
Bro, did my pics 3 posts above not show exactly why fit pics are not the be taken as evidence of sleeve length having changed?
Could this conversation be more circular?
Which brings us back to "trust me bro, it works". All i am asking for is a measurable proof...
I am not saying you manipulated the pics, i am saying that two fit pics leave too much room for error to be a conclusive proof.
Here, look at my stretch, 2" in 15 seconds...
Edit: i am not implying that you actually did that, or tried to trick people, all i am saying is that two fit pics prove nothing, there is too much room for natural variation within the posture etc.
A tape measure doesn't have any variation.
I didn't see a tape measure in your pictures...
I can put any jacket on and take the same two pictures you took just by raising or lowering my arms within the sleeves.
My belt and wallet look pretty much the same and all i have used is neatsfoot oil once a year.
It darkens the leather for a couple days and then the colour lightens again.
It doesn't leave a greasy/sticky surface at all.
Edit, found pics:
That looks great, probably my favourite of the three (four?) you have designed.
How does it close thought? The angles of the cross zip look like a zipper would not work?
I am pretty sure i didn't write the words "nylon webbing" anywhere.
Missquoting someone to disparage their ideas is honestly kinda silly for obvious reasons...
How about you just show us before and after pictures with a measuring tape showing 1" of stretch and prove me wrong.
I'll be the first...
