The tagging system wasn't working but it's Leilah Wilde.
Four years ago she posted about looking for a company that makes a women's Perfecto that was as good as the Schott but for shorter women; I think starting a maker to get it might be on par with Red and Carlos having moose brought in for...
I'm not sure if it's specifically the measurements for the trucker or sort of a guide so that leather jacket people can at a glance know which size should work.
I just saw an Instagram post about a new brand from a forum member.
Seems to be built around heavyweight cowhide jackets in staple designs for men and women, at a price point that’s kind of unaddressed right now outside of fashion brands.
Has anyone tried these? If the patterns are solid this...
Oh yes, I get what you mean now. I thought you meant Schott site specifically. I get what you mean–I'm the same way.
Yes, always worth watching the websites of Nordstrom and others who stock Schott to see which sales you can pick something up in. Likewise SSENSE had the 519 for like $500 after...
Both photos are really blurry so I'm not sure what I'm looking at. From the (sleeve?) end and stitch holes there seams to be a black topcoat wearing away. This isn't itself an issue but the 618 uses an all-black leather.
My point is just that someone is going to have to get used to creases when dealing with leathers like this and they could be avoided by changing hide.
I had assumed this myself but I disagree.
First off they actually don't have many sales; there's one, for Black Friday, which is a substantial...
I was searching for something else when I found this and saw my reply never went through.
I'd love to see this information when you get the chance. I love old catalogs.
That was a comment about the finishing; yes it was wrong, but the person in question didn't come around to saying "but the jacket was great" as a conclusion.
I wasn't just talking about the leather itself.
In their initial posts about CHL, they were marveling about how amazing the leather was. Canuck said it's the best possible leather option from there, due to the sheer density. Eventually, reality hit and they admitted to themselves the leather...
Where did I attack you personally?
I think you’re putting too much weight in Tony and Canuck’s impressions of Five Star half belts. I respect them both but they had deluded themselves in those projects leading to things like the CHL leather. I think they would say so themselves.
And no, the...
I'm not taking a position on whether this is the normal grain pattern or a packing crease per se; my only point is that, whatever the cause, such creases will proliferate and if someone is bothered by them there are other options.
I made reference to this being a 'leather' thing but really it's...
I wish people here would stop saying "fitment" when they mean fit, lol. Fitment means plumbing fixtures and the like, haha.
Many people here do this, and it is a very bad idea. Ultimately, the same measurements across different patterns are meaningless; and when the base pattern to begin with...
Wested Indy is more of a sure thing than Five Star imo. Especially if you get the non-'Hero' models. (I love the Hero but it's a less refined pattern by design.)
I have Tommy Ramone’s bluegrass album he made with his wife not long before he died.
In the meantime I can offer his countryesque version of one of his most iconic Ramones songs. It’s a shame we never heard him sing in the band as we did the bassists and Richie.
A bit more Bowie, a decade later than the pic in his Aero, this time in his D-pocket which seems to be a Sears Hercules, with a bridle belt.
Seems to be the same model as @JMax sold a couple of years ago on here. I noticed the red quilted lining at his wrist.
