I must say that it is (at the very least) a bit unusual that OP got his “3k” “Holy Grail of Leather” in the past three weeks and already needs it altered. Surely at that point it’s better to return (or, if a manufacturing flaw, to get it fixed by the vendor).
She posted on here about suffering...
To be clear, I have no affiliation with this brand, and I agree that patterns are the big question. I am not saying forum member to suggest it’s a Regius or Maverickson situation, just that that could be promising.
There’s a men’s and women’s version of each jacket it seems.
I don’t think...
Given the similarities to the Indian Ranger (except the snap belt) I always figured Fidelity made that (1947-53) and either had the rights to the design immediately or once the Indian run was up.
I'm guessing these are the original fit, but because IHUK strong armed them into having full control of all sales outside of Japan, we get stuck with the Giles Fit.
In the US, Johnson in SF and Zoltan in Berkeley come highly recommended.
In the UK, you could have Aero take a look at it.
In Europe, Will knows a workshop in Poland.
The IH ones are sad because they (referring to IH Japan jackets; not IHUK's SImmons Bilt crap) use great materials and construction but kill it with the bizarre fit. IH does this on denim ones as well.
I wonder if this is down to how IHUK (which we should always remember was just a store that...

Amazing jacket but I got it one size too big.
That jacket did make me realize how misleading a flat jacket photo can be, because the handwarmers seem to disappear when it’s worn (unless your hands are in them) whereas they’re very obvious...
Oh no wonder the sizing was so weird. Both of these jackets were part of attempts to capture part of the fashion market.
Do you know if the shop carries any other models?
Do you know the model numbers of the specific Schott jackets you tried?
Most of us are familiar with how the 613/618/118 pattern fits, for example. That can be a reference point.
The horse beating meme was because I had that exact exchange "no you won't get usable 'reference measurements' from a dodgy pattern" "yes I will stop gatekeeping" a few months ago with someone, and I was right that time too. (He did get quite a beautiful hide though on his jacket.)
Look...
This was exactly my thought. Leather looks good, price is nice, but I'd want those same changes.
That said, some jackets are very good at hiding the handwarmers when worn. Schott's type 3 does this; very noticeable laid flat, out of sight when three-dimensional. (Unfortunately I bought it a...
