    "Affordable" Indian Chief Motorcycle

Put one of the repro Vincent engines in there in place of that gutless flathead and you'd have something. Not to mention an electric leg for the end of the day when the ol' right leg is a mite rubbery...Here's a link to the repro Vincent...

    WWII Crusher and Garrison Caps

At the extreme right. Garrison caps are all Naval Aviators (and most officers and Chiefs) wear, given a choice. Less maintainence and space taken up.

favorite cars of the golden era

WW2 era: '49 Nash Ambassador Post-WW2 (i.e. 1955+): 1961 Chrysler 300G. 2 doors, 2 carbs, cross-ram induction, 405hp and more buttons and lights than you can shake a stick at. Giddy up go.

    What Do You Sound Like?

Midland (predominantly South). I don't think I'd do well on the TV or radio, though.... I don't think it's too highly thought of for announcers to say "how y'uns doin'?"...

If you could have any hat

Same answer. Stetson Open Road (or lookalike), cattleman bash, slate gray. Country enough to look good away from town, cosmopolitan enough to not look like a rodeo reject in town. The OR might be called The Nashville Sound of western hats....

    Best Duke era?

For this puropse, we'll call "early" John Wayne's debut up to about 1940, Middle/WW2 would be 1940-@1965 or so (the time of his lung operation) and Late would be 1965-1976. Waddayathink? Which era Duke is the best Duke> B-westerns and Stagecoach? She Wore a Yellow Ribbon, Big Jim McClain and...

    Tinnitus "Fixes" ?

Word to the un-afflicted: If it's loud, you need ear plugs. For the rest, I don't know of anything that will help un-do a mis-spent youth of highpowered rifles and pistols with no hearing protection.

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

The Shootist. MIGHTY depressing; you get the feeling that the Duke took the role thinking he had outlived his time.

"Doctor Who," He's Back and it's About Time!

Long term Whovian here, once upon a time I was a member of a local fan club. Seen episodes from Dr's 1-6 and the current fellow. The new episodes are well-written, and the effects are much better. Only real gripe is the TARDIS control room. Even if the same cheapskates at the Beeb that erased...
