Uh... On what do you base this big assertion? I don't believe I have ever seen a hat from the 30s or 40s bearing their name or mention or photograph of their store from that period. Certainly by the time I visited their 5th Ave store it wasn't impressive and what they have now less so... -

How are the Western clothing stores in Dublin these days? I guess for a lot of the guys here the answer would be to clean it yourself with naptha. I still haven't talked myself into keeping that stuff around... -

I think you'll like them. Probably knock the Campdraft right off IC's bean. Smoked another last night and noted that the flavor is surprisingly consistent throughout the smoke. A lot of my favorite cigars build up flavor as they go. Since I'm usually drinking more or less the same...- feltfan

Actually, they both were full of black eyes and broken noses. In a total fact vacuum, I think we should let this one drop. I do recall from my trip to Morocco that rugs made of wool from dead sheep are not as good as those made from live sheered sheep. That, I believe, is the origin... -

I enjoyed a Por Larranaga Maduro myself last night. When I start one of those up I am always disappointed. Then about half way through I am really enjoying it. Just takes it a few puffs to get the flavor going. I jumped on that special CI had on Man O' War last week. They arrived...- feltfan

The idea that hats keep you cooler...
Spoken as a skinny guy. I like shorts. As for hats, in the long run, you're cooler because you don't end up with a sunburn on your face or neck. In a dry heat, there's no question. -
Aero 'Veste de Rallye' just ordered
Hasn't stopped any of the rest of us. As you know, it helps others to see it worn! I have no idea why the US and UK Aero sites don't include pictures of people (ideally customers) wearing their jackets.- feltfan

You ought to print up a card you can give in return, explaining their actual rights... But nevermind. Your story drove me to sit out in the cold with a Victor Sinclair Triple Corojo. Not a bad mild-to-medium cigar, with a nutty, sort of roasted wheat flavor. And a Köstritzer Schwarzbier.- feltfan

I am very sorry to see this. Not to in any way make light of your horrible turn of events, but honestly I think it's still wearable. I think the hole could be in a worse place aesthetically (such as the crown) and adds a bit of mystery to the hat. A bit like a bullet hole in a crown- a... -

Found a Montecristo Vintage 1999 in the box tonight. It was a nice medium flavor smoke. At one point the cherry fell off and I had to light it again. For all that it seemed like a nice cigar, it didn't keep my interest. I had some Montecristos from that exotic island about a year ago...- feltfan

The brims on my Sovereign Ambassadors are just over 2 1/2", measured from the sweat, as you do. If I recall correctly, you have top knotch, classic era (as opposed to 60s) Stetson AND Cavanagh 100s. Hey, why not wear the Stetson 20? -

Nice. Take a look at the reorder tag under the sweatband. Is there a further model name? That's where the "Ambassador" name appears on my Stetson Sovereign Ambassador 20s. Mind you, I don't think this is an Ambassador- different liner. Also it could be older than the Ambassador line.
