Your crease is a "tear" drop....I know that Y is right next to T but you've done it quite a few times...
About balance, look up the Golden Ratio, Phi...I recall somebody mentioning the measurement from your eyes to your chin in another thread....

The block is different but the Campdraft molds to your head shape rather quickly, at least all 5 of mine have, 2 are Heritage, rest are Imperials.
The Silverbelly color will go nicely with your olive-drab rain jacket. It has enough earthy tones to go with olive, green, brown, etc...
As stated, we are fans of hats from the Golden Age & stingies were after that.
We also get hats custom made because factory hat makers don't make them in those dimensions anymore.
We tried but they just wouldn't do it because our numbers are not enough to justify it = search on discussions about...
Oh yeah, my first hat would NOT be a black one.
I have a black western & a black fedora & they are my least worn hats.
Granite or Dove grey if not Silverbelly or Natural undyed beaver.....as always JMHO
1) Open crown = at least 5 1/2" but I'd go 5 3/4"
2) Brim length = 2 1/2" but I'd go 2 5/8", 2" is basically stingy to me
3) Tear drop or diamond crease, center dent is okay
4) Band ribbon should be mid-ribbon, 9 to 12 ligne, matching color of the hat or a shade darker. Thinner is too casual...

A friend of mine runs this company & used to source her western stock hats from another hatter. She mainly does the decorating but has considered making the hat from scratch. She should be able to help with the color you're looking for...
