Hats don't fit the forehead well with hair between the sweatband & your head.
I've always brushed my hair out of the way so the sweatband would be against my skin.
Your condition(s) may make hat wearing impossible. Have you tried a visor?
But I don't think visors were designed for bangs either....
I'm a long oval bordering on extra long oval. Akubras have always adjusted to my head shape. EA & Hats Direct can block them LO before shipping but I found it unnecessary.
I'm a dead on 24" & always order 61. Nothing but satisfaction on way too many Akubras including the Squatter....
Storm last night dropped a hickory tree on the corner of the barn, no horses hurt but punched a hole in the roof & took out a section of fence...DIY Justified = Stetson Carson with Garland Outlet hatband...hope that lottery ticket pays off...
Preacher - I have had nothing BUT good results with Lexol wipes.
I've used them for years on saddles & tack plus motorcycle seats, saddlebags, & other leathers.
I have had no issues with my skin in contact with sweatbands conditioned with Lexol wipes & have quite a few vintage hats I keep in...
I used zippo lighter fluid to blot out writing from a felt tip marker on the inside of a vintage felt hat I was turning inside out.
The size was written there but came out using a soaked white cloth to blot the numbers.
I bought a pair of Iron Rangers just this winter.....about broken in now, made the mistake of thinking I had them broken in & went for a 3 mile walk.....feet lost....
Thanks Alexander.
It has developed a nice patina to it, looks almost vintage now. Wish it had vintage dimensions but you know that story...
Congrats on graduation. What did you major in, Pre-Med?
I had a lengthy time between auction & payer but the guy had to go fix down power lines from storm damage.
I usually give them thru a weekend or 2 since business travel makes it hard for some to get online for personal business.
