Excellent colour. Black is often underrated. I find myself rediscovering it, especially in knitwear - for example today I am wearing the black version of the wool commando sweater.
I agree that they don't have the allure of commando sweaters or Guernseys, for instance. However they are rugged, durable and traditional, which are three big 'plusses'.
Here is a useful site for ordering traditional fishermen's sweaters from Cornwall. I have a couple of them and am thinking of ordering another as they are very warm and comfortable as well as very traditional woollies.

Thanks Spitfire. I notice that www.nauticalia.com have two duffel coats, one mixed wool and the other all-wool, which I much prefer. The latter is more expensive but also far more traditional in style. Another question, of course, is camel vs navy?
