    Guernsey jumper

My traditional bluue Guernsey is around 15 years old (I fear I grew too big for the previous one). It still serves me excellently.

I think it's the ribbed wool that makes them special. I'm wearing my new Dark Grey Mix one today and am very happy with it!

Sweater sizes - baggy versus tight-fitting

I have always found with a traditional wool sweater that it feels - and looks better - to have it in a slightly larger size, so that it looks a bit (but not too) baggy and is not too tight-fitting. I don't know if others agree?

    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

One aspect of the military woolly pully that I like very much is the turn back cuffs, which I think look great and reach further back than those of most sweaters.

They do indeed. I had the dark brown version years ago, but it grew too small for me.

    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

They are very good - comforatble and durable, as you already know. Which colours are you considering? I am thinking about Peat Brown and Dark Grey (mainly because I have so many of the others).

Hello Steve, We clearly share the same sensible taste in traditional wollly pullovers. Re. the military woolly pullies, click on the first icon in the WP section of Outdoor Knitwear (with the picture of the chap in the olive green). You will then see larger picture of said chap, plus a range...

    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

I am looking with interest at the woolly pully section. I already have olive green, air force blue, navy blue, black, moss green - but would like the dark brown and the grey mix, for starters, to add to the collection. As I said before, I'm a bit of an aficionado.

That's a beautiful sweater. I have bought several from them over the years and also recommend them highly. I note that they have a new military woolly pully range as well (see the section marked 'woolly pully').

Agreed. However it's good to see a bit of a trend back towards wool - and away from horrid fleeces!
