I love everything! With sewing I don't feel competitive AT ALL. I LOVE seeing everyone else's creations no matter what level of sewing you're at. To all the sewing ladies :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
A good accident! My in-laws wanted to go out to dinner in poncy Chestnut Hill so we parked and walked until we found a resturant. Then, right around the corner, was this fabric shop. It was closed the first time we walked by it. When we walked back we saw the door was wide open so I asked...
I actually bought it in a store! I accidentally found a fabric shop just 5 minutes down the road from me: http://www.fabricsonthehill.com
It's from Timeless Treasures and you CAN get in online (I looked!)
This dress is actually next on my project list! That is a great outcome for your second attempt at sewing! I was doing aprons when I was learning lol
I'm going to give ole 4790 some flair and make it with this material I bought the other day:
I tried this -- I want Rudy Vallee's "Kitty From Kansas City" as my ringtone -- but I think I'm a bit confused :eusa_doh: How do I get it into my phone? Is it free?
Kami -- I think it's cute, but I can understand why you don't like it. It's not what we usually see you in.
I made another dress this weekend. So easy and I didn't even need the instructions (good thing because there were none!):
It actually looks better ON me -- my dummy is making...
Sorry I have no advice, but....
Bridgeton NJ?????!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't know anybody was retro in that area (where I grew up!)
Ok I do have advice -- you won't find them there! They all moved to Philly.
Mickey Carroll, one of the last surviving Munchkins from the beloved 1939 film “The Wizard of Oz,” died Thursday. He was 89.

I'm with Lauren. I like so many other things. Vintage is the biggest one, yes, but I've still got a little part of every phase I've ever been through still inside me.
I get a migraine once every couple of months. Like you, if I don't medicate it in time it just has to run it's course :(
For me, I drink Sprite. I don't normally drink sodas, but for some reason Sprite seems to get rid of the sickness. My mother (who also suffers) told me to do this...
I've been known to wear ultra-poofy sleeved 30s dresses and dresses made entirely out of flamingo fabric....sooooooo......
Nah, there's nothing I wouldn't wear. I think it's funny most of the time (the tacky stuff I wear!). But here in Philly no one even gives you a second look, unless they...
Thanks, chicas!
Last night a changed the collar and hip pocket on my flamingo dress to pink. It breaks it up more and looks less severe! Just need to buy a matching pink belt and I'm ready to wear it (yes, I will actually wear it in public.)
