Quite. I don’t think it’s prejudiced to want to clean up a garment that has been used as a sex thing. I’ve cleaned jackets anyway if they have bad smells or grime without that connotation.

After finding out a common use for CHP jackets especially Langlitz I would recommend (at least) machine washing it and probably soaking it in bleach or antibiotics before you take it in for zipper replacement.
It's put me off the vintage CHP search, unless they're clearly unworn or bought...
I also have bespoke tailoring and am generally happy with a RTW fit from leather, especially given the nature of the material.
But I don't think things like size 38 slim jackets with a 44" hem are acceptable by any definition of tailoring. If I got a RTW Schott Perfecto or Vanson like that they...
This year in general is their 50th anniversary.
They have some special items for it, like you can get many jackets in Roma direct from the site without the customization fee.

Just noting that if it had stayed under European ownership longer they probably would have killed what was left.

I think the quality drop under European ownership wasn’t so much in the mainline product, rather it was in the newer models not made at RMW’s factory.

Yeah definitely not implying their pattern work is inherently bad, just that I have no shortage of friends who’ve sausaged themselves into RMC and FW that clearly don’t fit but they don’t like to think about it after spending $3000 lol.
