I bought my first hat (and started the above thread) from Bob 4 years ago. He's since also made me a custom Milan straw, and just recently completed two renovations for me.
Cannot say enough nice things about Bob...
I bet Bob at Black Sheep could tackle this style. Art Fawcett as well. Some of the western hatters like Buckaroo and Knudsen do broad brim hats with rolled brims that look quite similar too.
Delmonico is carrying Doria caps from Italy that were previously sold under the Borsalino label. I have one of the Borso branded wool/cashmere caps and its quite nice.
Thanks for the kind words everyone! Bob certainly did a great job. The binding is indeed original to the hat. Bob hand dyed the new ribbon. The contrast between the two varies depending on the light.
Here's a refurb that I just got in from Bob.
This hat started out as a 40's Stetson Royal Deluxe Supper Club Homburg. It was a 6 7/8 that I had Bob bump up a size. He replaced the sweat with one of his excellent Ostrich leather ones, added a snazzy new brocade liner, and redid the ribbon...

two random comments to add to the discussion:
1) The Akubras I've seen are generally well done with regards to the trim. The thing that many find lacking in Akubra hats is a really fine finish. Although the durability of the felt is very high, the pounce job leaves them looking a little rough...
Ok, here's the actually Premiere Stratoliner that Mr. Deckard was kind enough to hook me up with after reading on here that I had gotten one of the mixup hats that used the incorrect body. Just a simple center dent with a fairly loose pinch.
So far, so good with this one.
