It's gorgeous. I've been considering a SB biker model and was going to go with brass & brown because I already have 2 Schott black cross zip. But now seeing yours, I might do a black teacore with brass. And seeing the biker style without epaulette also locked in the idea to do the same...
yep. I got a beautiful jacket, but has way more contrast stitching than what I was expecting. Nothing wrong with the quality of the jacket, but wasn't what I was expecting, so now I'm kind of stuck.
I asked for samples of the distressed goat and buffalo, but he didn't send. So don't even...
what's your actual chest size? You got to give like .25 inch on the p2p for the leather/lining and then some more for what you plan to wear underneath, and then I think another .5 to 1 just so you can breathe : )
Biceps seem tight. Mine were 7.5 to 7.75 and there's just enough wiggle room. I...
Beautiful. I'm on the fence to get an Indian Ranger in the blacked brown Vicenza. I like the black with the bronze hardware, and I think the brown peeking through in the creases might be something special. so keep us posted with the wear. I'm curious to see how the brass shines with yours.
It's like the leather jacket version of the clown car. Jackets just keep coming up out of the closet with no end. I just wish some of the stuff was a tad bit smaller and I'd be burning the wallet.
Congrats. Looks beautiful.
I'm watching for more SB examples. I'm 90% there on an order. Justin, really can't wait to see yours. I'm thinking something similar, the classic biker and want to see how the no epaulets turns out in a brown color.
I think once you understand your body shape and size, and what style you like, I think it's ok to go all in on a fine piece.
Most of the mistakes I made were just buying based on something "looked" good at literally first 10 second reaction to it. I didn't understand how a biswing back or...
Just be precise. I want the pockets placed 1 inch from the bottom, 3/4 inch off center of the zipper, etc. Collar needs to be X amount wide and should be stiff, floppy, whatever. Literally break your jacket down into pieces and give details on each piece. What kind/size zipper you want...
I hacked Ton's account. Here it is, not adjusted for his size of course:
I was starting to spec out a J100 with Shawn, but my first jacket hit some snags I'm not totally happy with it and he really hasn't offered any solution really. So I kind of put it on the back burner. Besides, I...
I think your experience is typical for most of us that have ordered. There's a lot of new people on this thread coming over from Ton's thread about his jacket and how perfect it ended up turning out, so it's a good reminder to maybe read several pages back to get the whole story. If someone is...
I'm not on IG or FB, but I do check out pinterest from time to time. This is a good link to start and get ready to lose hours down the rabbit hole.

kids ate the bananas and no one giving out change anymore, so used a very green branch against a more "reddish" brown piece of furniture. As you can see, more chocolate than anything. Maybe, just maybe, some rust sort of color in there too.
the thicker top coat would definitely help retain the color. My Seal brown steer is chipping like a mofo around the seams and what not. It'll be cool if you're going for that patina look. So if the Russet is deeper top coat, should retain the color.
From the samples he sent me couple weeks...
Yeah was expecting it to be a sponge, especially after being in the dryer on high for like an hour. But it beaded pretty much right away. It did get absorbed though once I hung it up in the sun. The leather is interesting. Wouldn't exactly call it high quality, but there's something to it...
Got my "new" Brooks yesterday. Had about 60 years of cologne in it, so gave it a light wash, solid dry, and 2 coats of coconut oil. I was hoping the coconut oil would darken just a shade (and hide the cologne smell), but that top coat is sick on this thing. Guess it's why so many have lasted...
very nice. Saw XL and thought, ah thank God, I'm spared. But the measurements are more like a big medium/small large. here goes another left shoulder/right shoulder discussion I need to have with myself for the next 20 minutes. That patch though might save my wallet in the end.
