Most of them are on there:

Actually it's not most of it anymore, i am really not up to date with pics...
And Shinki are not the only ones, these two jackets are both black CXL HH and were part of the same order of CXL:
I didn't even bother asking Greg for samples, to me they are worthless, it's a gamble anyway!
My GF has two leather jackets, the first one is a Lewis Leathers, she loves it and is super happy with it:

The second one is an Aero, it looks good, fits decently in pictures, but she find it so...
Himel Shinki:
FW Shinki:
RMC Shinki:
Diamond Dave Shinki:
Goodwear Shinki:
The two Freewheelers where made from identical leather, so are the Goodwear Imperial and the Himel Chevalier.
Other than that the hides have pretty much nothing in common. ie there would be...
Here is the LaBrea:
You can see that the right side (when looking at pic) is a double female snap, it can be snapped in the position it currently is, or when shutting the jacket it can be snaped to the male snap that is visible at the junction of the two collar points (left side)

Melton and Kersey are two different weaving techniques i think.
Melton is open and airy, Kersey is much smoother and tighter.
In wear the melton wool is not waterproof or windproof, the Kersey is.
All vintage peacoats are Kersey, they switched to melton in the 80s, from then on peacoats were...

The vintage style wool is vastly superior to anything you can buy new today and they are...
I try to keep it as simple as possible.
I store them on a hanging rail on wide shouldered hangers:
I don't have a regular "care routine", but here are a few things worth mentionning:
Don't hang wet leather jackets, you could get shoulder deformation, if i come back from outside and it has...
I have one of these, great jacket, highly recommended!
edit: And i paid $450 for it a couple months ago, funny that i spent more on it 30 years later than what it was worth new...
Who said leather jackets where a bad investment?
I think that was the exception rather than the rule...
Although i have something like 10 Vanson and 10 LW riding jackets the one i use the most is a $49 Richa:
It is the most comfortable one on the bike, has built in armour, looks kinda cool, and most importanly it is so cheap i really don't...
There is literally no answer to that question.
We all like different things in leather jackets, value different characteristics, it's a very personnal thing.
I would recommend Vanson, Langlitz and Lost worlds, IMO they do the best vintage style riding jackets.
