I would say the quality is comparable, rather than superior, but if the jacket is a better fit for what you're looking for then it may be superior in that sense.
If you don't want it stiff, instead of these you would be well served by the 141. Same fit as the 641, however it is in a soft yet...
My personal advice would be to not make your trip too narrowly about workwear, even when it comes to shopping, because there is so much to check out in Japan and workwear is the least of it.
For instance, there are makers who do amazing tailoring and other crafts, often for much cheaper than...
Yes, I had no particular desire for that hide (it’s nice but not even one of their traditional hides) but had planned to get a Lightning 402, a Bronx Twin-Track, possibly a Universal Racer. What a shame that they’ve gone up this drastically.
The two vertical chest pockets are a nod at Lewis Leathers.
The City is 4.5" narrower than the Model B.
Maybe consider their Wolverine jacket, the Wolf? It's a Model B with two long vertical zippers that go from handwarmers all the way up.

This is an actual 1950s 618. I don't think it would be a terribly difficult restoration. Will need some cleaning and elbow grease. Schott will likely send you new stars for free and their current pattern for a fur collar still...
It's funny how for all these years fans had assumed it was green but brown on the outside from light exposure (even though my experience of such has been something fading lighter).
While this post/video is about a repro, Eastwood himself (who continues to wear the poncho) just confirmed on Twitter that the actual poncho is reversible, with one olive side and one brown side.
At one point in my life I was rather keen on joining a Guards regiment, either the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards for Cavalry or the London Guards (originally the London Scottish) for Infantry, as the Blair/Brown administration killed off the other Scottish regiments. The coats were part of the...
Perfectly reasonable pruning by the bartenders, I would just restate then that some decent options are Filson or any other western-wear makers if one is open to melton wool, which suits these quite well (as I said earlier); likewise, Sugar Cane, Fullcount among other Japanese makers have beach...
