This is interesting. Looks like it's CXL FQHH? If so a rare bird indeed as they won't make this pattern in that leather anymore. Jump on it if you can make the fit work...
^^ Appreciate the thoughts here, and the flight ticket may have simply been dropped into this along with the coins. However that ticket from the early '80's is still in excellent shape, whereas the jacket has clearly seen a large amount of use. I tend to think this jacket was hung up shortly...
Selling off a very vintage piece here. Currently in just wearable state. No lining, a few missing buttons, no brand, no tags, no stated size. Needs a full condiitoning/reline/restore or keep as a collection piece. Quite old given patina, smell, and amount of wear and tear to the leather...
It's pretty heavy, HH - I would say at least 7.5 lbs. Steerhide. I think you would like it quite a bit, it's a little lighter than the Cordovan one that you have with the cordoroy lining.
If anyone has intrest in this jacket, I know it's history. It's nowhere near "20 years old". Here is the review I made of this jacket, which I bought new in 2015 from Thruston Brothers. It's a deal at $350...
(My apologies for the terrible photos in that older thread)...
Fantastic!! Best fit I've seen on you and you wear it perfectly well!
Also neat shop there, we just don't have such places in the midwest. If/when I ever get back to California, I'll give it a visit.
Carlos - thank you for these "updated" photos. I indeed missed the chance at the time to do B&W while on-site in the camera. When I get back down there, I'll sure give that setting a go in the camera.
I like your coments here. Truth be told, I have been doing hand-held nature & scene...
Welcome! I have actually seen 3 Industrial machines go through our local Habitat for Humanity ReStore in the past year. They may even still have one. I'm in the midwest USA - Iowa - however I have no idea where you are at. Location (general) would help a lot as we're really from all over...
And then some fit photos for fun and intrest. I had a lot of fun taking these today, hope you all find them fun and a bit of a change of pace...
