Wasn't the A-2 a military uniform item? And If so, wouldn't there be uniform regs for "proper" wear of the A-2, just as there would be for service dress uniforms? Hi Scott, The Spearhead wool A-1 measures 25 inches armpit to armpit (buttoned) and a sleeve length of 27.5 inches. It fits me with room for a light sweater or sweatshirt underneath, so it's not snug on me. There may be some minor size differences among two different Spearhead XXL jackets...- thor

The Cockpit has a near clone of the Indy jacket called the Vintage Roughneck Oil-Driller made of washed goatskin. It is an awesome jacket! Restoring an A-2 advice/ recommendations please...
Willis & Geiger A-2 jackets can be found in mint condition on eBay at good prices. I'd only restore an A-2 if it were very rare/collectible since re-doing a lining and/or cuffs can get a little pricey.But good luck on the restoration project friend!- thor
