That's unfortunate; it was a great looking coat. Thank you for letting me know, though!
Now I need to go look for an Aero...thanks for getting me hooked, Cole. [huh]
Since I left the military, I have been running less and lifting a bit more and as a result, my beloved Eastman no longer fits properly in the shoulders. So, regretfully, I'm putting it up for sale, or trade.
It's a "house" model in size 42, seal colored goat hide. I've included some photos of...
I looked at their site and they really do have some nice things! I didn't know that reenacting was a big thing there, but I guess it's not surprising. Thanks, Cocker. :)
I wonder how Tomtom42's jacket broke in.
Thank you, Cocker. I'll look up the thread and check it out. It surprised me because it does look like a really sharp jacket. I didn't know any companies in Belgium made A2's, but that's only my ignorance on the topic.
Fantastic advice on the WPG jacket, Thor. I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to reply; thank you! That looks like a winner to me. For the price it looks damn nice, actually.
My brother's birthday is coming up and I want to get him an A2, since he really likes my Eastman. We're not close and truth be told I rather dislike him. Family obligation dictates that I get him something, though, so while I don't want to spend too much, I want to get him something that's going...
Yes, Fastuni. It was three days per suit, on the average. I had them made one at a time, though. It was a bespoke tailor, yes. They were made completely to measure.
volvomeister13: I had it made in Kuwait when I was coming home from my most recent (and final!) deployment. The gentleman (he'll do orders, PM me if you want his info) did five suits and some fitted shirts for me and the work was really nice. The turn-around time was three days from the day I...
James: that's a great video, thanks very much!
Guttersnipe: I had no idea about the ties, that makes perfect sense, though. I'll try the four-in-hand next time. Thanks very much for the information.
Thank you for the input, I do appreciate it. I need to find a good tailor up here to take care of the sleeves. They seem to be in short supply in Alaska, but I'm sure I'll pin one down. The tie is making me crazy. For some reason the Double Windsor knot just gives me fits...
I really liked the look of Johny Depp's blue suit in Public Enemies, and so this fall I had one made while I was overseas. I'd welcome any input. While it's not perfect, I think it came out rather nice. I included a couple of indoor shots because the lighting outside was deceptive.
*How the...
Thank you very much, that's quite kind of you to say. :) Actually, I really appreciate all of the positive feedback. My wife hated the jacket at first, and it sort of dampened my enthusiasm. Needless to say it's grown on me and I wear the thing everywhere.

Hello all,
I posted before about my Eastman, and I still think that it's a wonderful jacket. The wool, however, seems to be getting a bit tatty. The gentleman from whom I bought it must have been bigger around the middle than I am, because the waistband just sort of...hangs. It doesn't snug...
