Update on the brown aniline cafe racer. I hope Greg brings it back, I'll definitely get one again if he offers it.
It got wet after this photo and it's looking better than ever but don't have time to take photos yet
That's good to know, I'm really pleased that you like yours. That's really a good looking boot with wonderful leather. I hope you wear it well and see the transformation later on. I feel the same way wearing my Chelsea boots so I'll get an engineer boot sometime this year.
Thank you
No worries, this screen shot will be for a future project anyways. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to take the close up photos
I saw the edited info and it's a little too technical for me but I'm sure JL or 5* will know what to do when I show them the photos. Thanks again
Wait til your jacket gets wet, it will look more beautiful like Marc's black aniline jacket. I have the brown aniline one and it soaked water really well but the creasing and folds developed nicely (mine is mostly smooth so some of the grain popped out after)
I don't think it is a risk if Greg is the one who will make it. We have seen his custom work before, so for me personally I would not be that reluctant.
I love the mulholland and I'm getting one in brown so I'm so interested how this goes because I want a black one too but with zipper sleeves...
I was planning to get this from 5*, a trucker with buttons and hidden zippers but decided to just go for buttons this time around. I'll go for a main zipper next time for a moto trucker. I asked Greg if he was planning to do a trucker design and he said he will when he gets the button machine
No doubt about it or if they do do that then they would charge an exorbitant amount of money that would make it less attainable. Kudos to you as well for having the vision and being so meticulous with order details. Now to the fit picks!
This jacket is making me salivating to get my 2nd FL...
Yes I'll get one on order soon. I'm quoted for 6 months production time. Peng does make great designs. He offered cxl, horse strip and horse butt as options for black leather. Peng steered me towards the black horse butt so that's what I'll go with. I do think that boot looks better in brown though
Cloe cigar horse butt for sure. It's has more character, richer and feels better to the touch too. I'm thinking of getting a burgundy TDD01 too, just waiting on a sample photo
I'm also in touch with flame panda for a black horse butt lace to toe boot
I see it too in the FL black aniline HB you have
Got it, I do see that and now I think that those could have been done better with just a little finesse. It's little details like this that open up my eyes to the subtleties of jacket designs. Thank you
Looks great! That collar looks super! Can't believe all the jackets we see you wear are not new and that's some great impulse control you resisted for 2 years. Now comes the landslide. . .
