@torfjord thank man. Deerskin is awesome, Shawn says he has enough for orders lol hope we get more options than the black/cognac
@MrProper yes, a western button up shirt or something similar is perfect for this leather. It will drape and be comfortable to wear. Go for it!
@Marc mndt thank you...
Cxl does change but it depends on how hard you wear your jacket really. Do you want something that will look the same after years of wear or something that will show wear/patina?
Happy to share, I'm sure there are better ways of doing it but that's what I used and it did turn out fine. I do want to add to hammer lightly at first then firmly to secure it, the button stem bends at a weird angle if you use to much force at first.
I hope they do offer that BB deerskin...
It's better in person, man. Really nice up close, I'll get better photos next time when it's sunny outside. It will rain in the Bay Area tomorrow so I can't do it until Thursday (probably). It's not my jacket so I'm having jacket envy lol this black deerskin leather is perfect for a trucker. I...
Good thing it did turn out this way. I just measured her great fitting fashion jacket to get to this trucker and super happy it fits great. It really helps when you specify your preferred measurement.
Thank you, man. She wanted something easy to wear and the deerskin fit the bill perfectly...
Can't compare with my goatskin jacket as the deerskin jacket is tiny but definitely feels lighter.
Okay, that's interesting to know. I hope you get the green light for your project. The deerskin is worth it. I have fit pics in the 5* thread so I don't hijack your thread
the deerskin trucker arrived today. My sister loves it, glad I was able to give it to her before she leaves after the holidays. The leather is fantastic, soft hand, lovely grain, drapes well, no strong chemical smell. It's so much nicer than the premium goatskin I received before. It might be...
I did receive it. The deerskin is miles ahead of the seal goatskin imho. Soft hand, drapes well, lovely grain. It's gorgeous and I'm getting one myself lol
^^ always liked them myself, especially the ones with a cowboy yoke. If it Wasn't so long that it looked like a dress when I put it on I'd probably get one myself.

Not sure if it's available across the pond and if it's to your liking but these two pronged Japanese donut buttons are what I used for my trucker...
That looks great! I also think the back looks okay, especially when you wear it unbuttoned. It will also probably be less noticeable when you layer up.
Agree I think it's the waist not being tapered enough and the bottom sweeep resting on your pants that makes the lower back bunch up.
Love...
Got it. I checked their online store and it's pretty much the same type of clothing I see people wear here but looks like it's more slimmer. My local weather is too mild and I don't do any hard core outdoors activity that would necessitate specialized clothing so I'm lucky I don't have to spend...
Got it, I've noticed the front drop really makes a difference how the jacket wears. For my next JL project I'll add 0.5 inch to the back length and add more front of a front drop too. I've always liked how the HWM looks, I just hope it will look good on me too.
I think I get what you mean...
I probably will fit in the size 38 in the chest/shoulder but will be loose on the waist/bottom sweep. I went with the size 36 with 17.5" shoulders, hope the chest to chest is closer to 20" so it's not too tight on me.
So not a lot of front drop in the jacket huh
Definitely agree, my jacket looks like that. The overall profile and even the pocket placements are similar. the design on the cuffs are different, I will have that same design element in my upcoming FL jacket though
