I thought these particular collabs were done with HD and Real McCoy when RMC was based in New Zealand. They still may have been built in China or where ever though. But I thought the quality level was still quite high. Maybe not current RMC made in Japan levels, but certainly above a...
that looks good. I'm wearing mine today and I got to say, it's not a comfortable jacket. It's broken in a lot, but think it has a lot more to go. It's definitely softened a lot, but there's certain parts that still poof out or don't settle all the way, especially in the shoulder area Hoping...
that Vanson Commando is fire. Stumbled on a few pics of a Butterscotch collab one and was like wow.
Have you checkd out the Thedi stuff? They seem to have a good balance of flair and classic design especially on their racers.
I'm guessing the quality on these is better than the usual Harley Davidson of more recent days. I know the Real McCoys in this model was New Zealand based, but I got to imagine there was some sense of quality for it to evolve to what it is today. The prices on these vary from $400-1500. But...
Yeah, if I was in Europe, I'd be focusing on Thedi. Too bad there's not a lot of used ones out there yet. I was on that site last night, and there's like 5 end game jackets on there for me.
To keep the Cal training running. I posted this elsewhere, but I'm just too excited about it. Should have on Monday.
It's a slightly longer body which is just great because my other ones are really pushing the limit of how short do I want to go. But the teacore is what has me excited...
I just patched one on my Schott 618 (round one, not the diamond). It's a round loop that attached to the zipper head in a little gap in the head on each side. I think when they assemble the head, they lay in the pull. I didn't want to take everything apart, so I cut a small slice into the...
I just won this one. Hoping it's a Cal stairway to teacore heaven. Looks like it's got the good stuff. Those diamond pulls make it what, a 60's model? All Talon zips, no issues with the male pin. One of the pull tabs is replaced with leather strip, but I got a spare I can swap in. And it's...
right on. Yeah, kind of rainy here. I might go tomorrow or next week. Depends on when Gwen is there. I've got a couple repairs that can go in a few directions, so want to get her advice on how best to handle.
damn that's nice. Is that teacore? Think I'm seeing some brown.
I might head down to the shop today or tomorrow. I got 3 jackets that need zipper fixes and Schott was super nice to send me a brand new Talon zipper so I can fix my 641xx. So pumped.
Gwen from Cal told me a lot of the browns will turn a greenish hue after a lot of sunlight. And some of the browns might have been black originally. That one Jin has is epic. Great contrast with the shiny black Cal.
Schott makes some great nylon flight jackets. Really insulated too. Some of my warmest jackets. I'll take a picture of the one I'm wearing today because I'm going hiking and weather is a little wet for once in Los Angeles.
In the meantime. This might look familiar to you. Leather starting...
just saw the IG story. That looks great. Really nice shade of brown and lots of grain.
I don't think moving them is going to be easy at this point. You'll probably have holes in the leather and he probably has to undo the lining.
Think I've tried this, starting to get a little foggy up in the noggin. But, black sharpie marker. That's for little cuff or other edge scrapes, more pinpoint dot, etc. I wouldn't try a whole panel or anything like that
