It puts me in a tough spot. I hate, hate, HATE to see these things rot away. However, I also believe that a person should have the freedom to do what they wish with their possessions.
Luckily we're savvy to the real estate market and know what "to pay" :p
I'd have to disagree on the fixer upper thing. We have made a lot of money flipping houses. We can do about 98% of it ourselves. I'm currently working on a flipper, actually. Anticipating a 20-40k profit on it.
Unfortunately, it's a seller's market here, when you're dealing in my price range. If you wanna buy a 200,000 house or so, go right ahead, there's a HUGE inventory of them. I'm trying to find something on the cheap, and they go fast.
With fixer-uppers, I try to get as much as I can lol...
The next one, I'm lowballing. The only reason I offered above is because the house was priced 100k below assessed value and was beautiful, and had 5 offers already.
The other, I only offered asking, because it needed a new roof and I put it in the offer that he had to replace it.
I also put...
I gotta wait at least until I buy a house, we can't all live at my parents' house.
I won't rent, waste of money, and to get a rental where I could keep all my cars and tractors and such, it would cost me a fortune.
Well, isn't that just special :p
I'm having a hard enough time doing...
Oh yeah, I know it'll happen one of these days, but I'd like to have a house and a little better financial standing before I ask that question!
Does he even exist anymore?
Say, if you're so free and willing to spend some dough, how about helping your old buddy Tom in his house hunt? lol
I try to, but it isn't always avoidable!
I pay for things! People don't just GIVE me everything lol
I got a rebuild kit and rebuilt it and it still leaked gas. The JB weld thing probably would have worked, but I was in a hurry with all the snow we had to clear. Luckily, the Implement...
Sure she does, and the 90's models aren't too bad on gas, middle-to-upper 20's.
She probably figures if she drives a Caddy, I'll pop the question lol :p
You'd be surprised how often that happened when we were in the small engine business.
Well, they were a smaller garden tractor. I love that thing!
It wouldn't start because the carb was out of adjustment, adjusted it out and it started (though the carb was still junk.)
Good to see you have your own account, now!
I do not have the green wagon. Sold it, and the blue wagon. I still have the brown one, though!
I see it almost daily, though, as I sold it to a friend!
Around here a high-end car carries some clout, still, to a point.
Ironically enough, people look at you as more likely to be well-off, if you drive a well-maintained older car versus a fancy new one.
