Why should this music foster her talent? There are plenty of other songs, yes, even in the same genre, that could foster said talent. Children have very malleable minds, and while a parent cannot stop their exposure to explicit songs or TV shows and the like, they can teach them early on what...
My thoughts exactly!
I second the suggestion about hair and make-up, too. We wore t-shirts and pants at Sephora, and you can't say it detracted from our personal style's any :) You're lucky you only have to wear a uniform t-shirt.
Old enough not to be able to chase me around the room, I suppose lol
Reminds me of the Bugs Bunny cartoon Broomstick Bunny, with the genie chasing Witch Hazel after she became pretty:
Reminds me of a woman I saw on one of those Dr. shows who allowed her 8 and 10 year old daughters to dance around a stripper pole (as you do.)
The author is right, parents really should consider what effect suggestive material will have on their young children. This should be common sense...
I'm almost through with Bring on The Empty Horses by David Niven (it's been mentioned a few times in this thread.)
After reading both chapters about "Missie," I was so curious to know who she was. Because of some of his descriptions in the first chapter - blonde hair, many boyfriends, a...
Oh, I hope not! The elderly gentleman I bought my 1920s gramophone from took a liking to me, all to the bemusement of my then-boyfriend. When I bent down to pick the gramophone up, I faltered a little, and the man patted my backside. I wasn't quite sure how to react lol
Actually, he was...
Thanks you two :) What you're saying is true, but I meant it more that I can be many things to people. Whatever they see in me, I can become: a therapist, a casual friend, a teacher, a lover, an entertainer, etc. but always a version of myself.
I don't think I've ever put on masks or become...
I'm with you, there. A stretch of Church Street in Toronto is known as the "gaybourhood," but it's ironic because in the city, people couldn't care less - a Divine impersonator could walk down the street and people wouldn't look up. I find that outside the city, though, especially in the...
You can use it under your eyes since it's brightening, but it won't work if you have anything beyond mild circles. Persistent dark circles would do well their Boi-ing concealer, which covers more, or if you have discolouration issues, Lemon Aid.
Of course, if you have the dough, YSL's Touche...
It's not a bad concealer, like FWG says, but I prefer Benefit's Erase Paste. It's the only one I know of that blends in completely with your natural skin tone, and I once used it to cover up some particularly painful looking rosacea. You wouldn't have known the difference!
We can always push mine next to yours if we need even more room ;) xx
Excellent. After all, she needs you more than you need her - You can always find another, more professional photographer. :)
Best: I am capable of striking an ideal balance between personality traits - Like a chameleon, I can become whoever you want me to be.
Worst: I can be fatalistic when times get tough.
I've never been able to wrap my head around that. As far as I can tell, people are defined by their bank accounts so closely that a limited bank account means limited facets to their character. Nobody is interested in the working class, presumably because they can't afford to be interesting.
Make room for me! I don't care if she was being sincere or not, why should the fact be flaunted publicly? It's just rude and small-minded, and it's inviting more rudeness and small-mindedness in response.
Sure, but depending on how you're employed, you don't feel as secure disclosing your position at a barbeque when someone asks you "And what do you do for a living?" if you're a house cleaner versus a partner at an advertising firm. Humans are unbelievably judgmental.
