Carhardtt also makes a "Detroit" jacket (cotton canvas). I'm pretty sure they just chose the name because "Detroit" sounds tough, cool, and is associated with hard-working blue collar types (think union auto workers or garage mechanics). It's quite a compliment!
What are you wearing under the jacket? Looks like a lightweight Henley. Will you ever be wearing a sweater or fleece under it? Do you want room for layering? The fit doesn't look too bad if you intend to layer up underneath it (side tabs loose) and snug up the side tabs when you wear lighter...
