Very disturbing realizing how fast time goes and that it never stops.
In so many ways, I still think from my 10 year old mind, as far as time. I think of the 90s as just having ended, my parents people in their thirties, and my grandparents as people in their 50s/60s.
Realistically, my...
Hahaha! I have never seen one of those before. That is hilarious!
Thank you! We go to brewery shows, auctions, and of course, eBay is always a good source!
Not particularly vintage, but people keep telling me my Cadillac is a "classic." I think they're using the term very loosely.
Anywho, my passenger mirror unfortunately was KIA a couple Sundays ago. On Sundays, they let the St. Mary's parishioners park in front of the church. Usually, you can...
Wondering if this is a regional one, but the term "team player" doesn't seem to be used where I live. Where I grew up, it was a very common phrase.
It truly is amazing how dialect can change in such a short distance. I live only a couple hours from the greater Milwaukee area, yet things are...
Thank you! It's been going surprisingly smoothly. I just wanted to get enough going before winter, to prevent the whole alley from ending up in my yard.
Related to my story, I once watched my mother run a chainsaw all the way down to the bone in her leg. We were tearing down an old pig barn on...
My thought of grandparents is people who listened to Big Band music and fought in WWII. Now, my parents, born in 1959 and 65, respectively, are grandparents.
Many times, when I tell kids, "ask your parents, about _____, they'll know what I'm talking about." They won't because the stuff I'm...
Don't forget that Jesus came of his own Accord.
+1
Most people are good about that around here. There is a lot of Amish and Farm equipment traffic and 90% of the time, they move over as soon as someone pulls up behind them. The Amish will even give you a friendly wave as you pass. The geezers...
A huge thank you to all of you. I can only imagine what an undertaking this changeover was. You've all been great and you've been above and beyond in the attention to everyone's input. It is much appreciated!
Not a mobile poster, but trying to get accustomed to things, as well. Not too different, but I'd been here so long, I could navigate with my eyes closed lol
Doing my best lol
Purchased them as a lot. Don't know the story behind them, but they're still in a group, in the china hutch lol
Mader's is a very popular restaurant in Milwaukee, still there. It's a few blocks down 3rd St. from where my Grandfather grew up.
Thank you! Never stop shopping...
Well, with vintage home comes vintage things giving up.
One of the retaining walls in my back yard gave way, and we began construction on it over the weekend. We are on hiatus until I can find a way to get dirt up to this spot. The back yard is very steep and hard to access.
I remember my first time driving, if sitting on dad's lap and steering counts. I had to be around 3 years old in Mom's 77 LTD wagon, on dad's lap, piloting from Hochheim Rd to the barn at the end of the driveway. Can picture it like yesterday.
A BIG +1
I'm shocked you'd talk aggressive...
Yeah, these new ones are a pain. If it's got a computer, and any Fuel Injection beyond a throttle body, I'm staying the hell away from it. Same with any transverse mounted engines. No. Thank. You.
