    I am not too keen on the A1 purely because of the button front. I prefer the the A1 variation made by Norshor with a zip. Is period correct also. Just slightly different.

    Buyers like to imagine their expensive repro is based on a wartime original stitched up by the best seamstress on a good slow day and the cutter was sober and randomly selected the best hide in the pile that belonged to a thoroughbred and not a mule. I guess it did happen occasionally.

    Sure did, but stayed in the house to avoid getting fried. It rained a little in the evening. It was still very hot and the rain evaporated as soon as it hit the ground. Strange seeing rain and nothing getting wet.

    Schott makes nice solid jackets but material wise are built to a price far lower than what they charge. A lot of cost cutting in their jackets not reflected in their prices. I have owned a few. Their true vintage stuff is great.
