Ha you can rest at ease it's a 57.
I don't know if you've seen it yet, but one of the members here bowlerman posted a vented brown derby a while back that inspires all sorts of envy its easily one of my favorite hats i've seen posted here. If you get a chance you should try and find his picture...
Like this one alot, it's a far different crown and brim shape than my other Herbert Johnson. The sellers pic's made it look a bit lighter, but its actually a fairly dark chocolate brown. I'll have to get a picture with my two HJ bowlers sitting next to one another for the side by side comparison...
That makes sense, I understand he more than likely can't afford to go through hat bodies attempting to train someone completely green, or pay someone an actual salary. I just can't help but think theres a person who'd sacrifice pay for the chance to learn how to make a fedora with Steve Delk.
If he had somebody else helping him produce hats, he could absolutely fulfill his orders quicker. I don't think thats a particularly outlandish statement to make.
Sure, he had a bad experience with a previous worker. Why on earth we he would never take anyone else on as an apprentice? There...
I don't know, to me it seems like he desperately needs to hire someone to help fulfill orders. I think he should strongly consider taking on an apprentice.
All he'd have to do is find a high school kid who'd like to learn a new trade. I'd think there'd be plenty who'd jump at the opportunity...
Thanks, i'm curious to see if it will be the same crown and brim shape as my black HJ bowler. If I remember correctly this one was was sold at a later shop.
Sprinkles, great bowler. I've been really tempted to buy one with a tattered brim with the hopes of getting another color of grosgrain...

Opened in Santa Rosa, around an hour north of San Francisco. I'll have to stop by sometime soon and look at their stock of vintage hats.
All it needs is a new ribbon and it'll be the belle of the ball.

Cream Colored Topper.
If I ever get a top hat I hope I can find one like this in my size.
As delightful as this this cap is, I don't really see myself wearing it too often. It's a comfy size 7, but could easily be stretched to fit a larger dome I could imagine.
A couple of details, there isnt a button on the brim as i've seen on other caps posted here. Its got a stitch attaching...
