I'll tell you right now what you're doing wrong: You're giving up on one method too quickly before jumping to another! Most methods (hot sticks, sponge rollers, pin curls among them) I have never been able to master, or haven't even tried. I picked one and kept at it through horrible set after...
I got in a grand total of four hours of sleep last night - There was a company Christmas cocktail party, and an after-party at a pub, so today I am wearing the bare minimum:
Too Faced's Shadow Insurance
Benefit Magic Ink Eyeliner
Buxom Lash Mascara
NYC Eyebrow Pencil
MAC StudioFix powder...
Right, which makes the stylists seem all the more talented. Using modern products to create a period look is something everyone on here who dresses vintage has to do - even the men - so I think its a great inspiration that the Mad Men team does such a good job with them.
There was talk about going to Ottawa for the big fireworks display on Parliament Hill, but we will probably end up pinching more pennies by staying in town this New Years. If we do, we'll probably end up at Red Lobster. :)

It's been a while since I posted in this thread. Everyone looks so great! Great job with the perm LinaSofia, I hope it turns out nice. :)
I have a Christmas party to go to tonight (how I wish it wasn't on a Sunday, though) and by using Diana Dors as my inspiration, I ended up with a wicked...

Has anyone here seen the movie Christmas Eve (1947)? It's got a stellar cast, with George Raft, Randolph Scott, and Joan Blondell among others. It seems to have an interesting plot, too.
My father wasn't sorry, either! He told me it would be very annoying when you would want to use the telephone, only to pick it up and hear someone else's conversation.
(When I asked what he would do, he said that placing the phone down would make an audible click on the line, and the other...
