The Art of William Matthews always shows real working cowboys in their distinctive western hats. His watercolors was the inspiration to have my old Resistol converted to an Elko style hat several years back.
This is a book that I have.

Odd thing to say to a guy, but that lid actually coordinates well with your eyes and scarf. The odd dusting of snow flakes adds to the effect. Well done Jimmy!:eusa_clap

Lest we forget, Adventurebilt got their start making the iconic Indy hats, for themselves and the fellow fans, but they also made, and still make, other styles as well. The predominant order is still for the Indy style of hat, but any other style can and does get made for those not interested in...
He lived not that far from me. Met him several times in Morro Bay. He was an inspiration for us gym rats. May he rest easy now, but knowing him he already has the hereafter on their toes.
