Well Dano, In my neck of the woods there are plenty of western hats, and more of this and the Elko style show up all the time. So it wouldn't be too out of place around here, it's almost common. It would make a great outdoors hat for sure, and there might be the odd comment here and there but...
Although it is a movie lid, I've always like the Johnn Ringo style that Michael Biehn wore in Tombstone. Just don't know if I could pull that one off or not. But it looks good on him.

In the 80's it was Harrison Ford
And Paul Hogan respectively
Then in the 90's it was Michael Biehn as Johnny Ringo
And Bruce Willis as John Smith
Then came along Chris Cooper in Seabiscuit
But then I came full circle back to the original that I dug on do much.
And...
Johnny, I see something like this with that hat.
Something a little rough and tumble. But hey, that's just my two cents, for what it is worth.

And that is exactly why they patiently wait for their coveted hats, that will give them the look they are after. Of course, they also make different styles too. The customer just has to ask. :D

That's what I figured, I had come across a similar quote out there but wasn't totally sold on the Down Under as being the one as it doesn't have the eyelet vents on the sides, but those could have been added as well. Akubra does have one western with the triangular vent pattern, so I suppose...
