One of the few props I will give to Reagan was, he did try to serve over seas, but his eye sight was so poor he was basically 4F! He did give up a big salary to serve, I have no doubt if he had done like Wayne, he would have been a much bigger star, since there was so little competition. There...
A little more subtle, but moving for me. The Sand Pebbles, when Steve McQueen goes below to inspect the engine and says: "hello engine, I'm Jake Holman!"
Victorian Slum House: 1880s. It is getting better! I don't want to say my ancestors had it easy, they were tenant farmers back then, but next to the slum dwellers, they were John D. Rockefeller!
I to am also having trouble getting used to not having a product in my hands. My 2011 Triumph Thruxton, is not running well at all, I found out it is the MAP program in the black box. Both our dealers have stopped carrying Triumph, so it is up to me to fix it. It is strange to send money to...
Sorry, I came across a little snobby there, late night post, I love all kinds of cars! You just reminded me of my two favorite Corvette's I have ever driven, polar opposites, but both fun. Last year, I almost bought a 66 Restomod, aluminum small block board and stroked, all the goodies you could...
Actually, Corvette drivers argue all the time over whether their cars are real sports cars, just read the comment section in any car magazine after a negative article comes out. Plus. the real snobs always tell me, the last Corvette was built in 1967! The latter has always put me of from buying...
Like I said, T-Birds were never called sports cars! I owned a 69 SS Camaro, worst handling pile ever, looked cool standing still and the girls loved it, but I don't miss it for a second! Now my 65 Mustang, that handled better. You can see why 65-66 Shelby GT350s are considered sports cars.
When you get a bunch of alerts from fedora Lounge patrons, and your heart stops momentarily as you think to your self, "what did I post last night, did I accidentally offend a bunch of people?" Of course, you feel better, when you see they are all liked your post!
That's a joke right? I have never heard a real sportscar driver refer to a Corvette as anything but a glorified sedan! And that is the nicest thing they call it. Ford never referred to the early Thunderbirds as anything but personal luxury cars.
