Thanks Red. I'm not sure how old the jacket is but I might guess from the 60s. It is a custom job done by Alexandre and judging by the stamps on the label I think it was done in their hand tailoring shop. I believe it was some sort of club jacket as you can barely make out where a crest of...
I was looking for more leaves falling, but ran across a covey of quail instead.

Bummer. I can empathize as I got hit on my bicycle last year about this time and got a broken rib and pneumonia out of it. It sucks. Hope the healing happens as quickly as possible.

Picked up this ratty German made shearling today.

Too warm to wear it long today, but it will be darn nice on Friday when the high is supposed to be around 40 F.

That's a great looking Royal Stetson. Nice vintage piece.
Thanks Steve. It's a nice suit with a couple of issues I need to work on. I think it's been mushroom hunting with me before, but I lazed out on the hunt today and went shopping instead.
Came home with this ratty shearling...

Thanks Dr. D. It is pretty close in color to the US Army dark shade drab that was introduced in the 40s. But the cut is definitely not military. There is a lot of movement in it when walking. I tend to think of London Fog in terms of trench coats, but they made some very, very nice wool...
Thanks Dale. Some bright leaves in that one. Those fuzzy leaves paired with the angular geometrics in the weave make me sort of dizzy when I look at it. Ha ha.
Michael
So much for my swearing off coats. It's in the 70s today and I still came home with another one.

A long, and long belted, London Fog in pure wool. Fly front.
Have a good evening,
Michael
If it had been a competition, then I'm afraid there wasn't much competition. Ha ha. I'm more depressed than happy about that. I guess I watch too much Perry Mason.
Thanks, I'm happy with them, though they might benefit from being let out a little. Today's pair, different than yesterdays...
