Innards and specs posted in The Champ thread.
Very wise and understandable, Charlie [emoji145]Thanks, @Steve1857 !!
I also preferred the Stetson, but with rain in the air I always defer to new, replaceable hats. I try to protect my vintage pieces.
I was reading about Vicuñas last night, and remembered to wear my Churchill 100.
It says 'BEAVER "100" MADE WITH VICUÑA'.
I wonder what percentage is vicuña. Vicuñas are supposed to have hollow hair, so I guess it would be possible to make a count.
What I do know is that the felt is outstanding.
I used to wear my dad's Korea era one too. A different coat than today's. My wife bought me one 3 years ago, in grey. I didn't have the heart to tell her how disappointed I was.Thats amazing you still have it. Pretty cool family mementos. They are great coats, very heavy in Melton wool. Hard to travel with due to bulk. But they sure look cool on and collar up.
And now you wear it well too, Alan. Happy memories.A survivor from WWII Bulgaria... I bought this hat for my Dad. He always wore it well.

I remember those photos, Alan. It's a beautiful Borsalino with great historical and personal provenance. You wear it well as you do all your hats. It's a tribute not only to Borsalino, but also and especially to you and your father. [emoji145]Thanks Steve. I have posted in the past some nice photos of my Dad in this hat. It was one of the first Borsalinos I purchased.
Well, that'd be a first. [emoji1]That hat looks great on you and much better than it ever did on me.
Anyone living in the latitude range of 35-38 degrees N should be experiencing beautiful sunrise & sunsets now as the sun works it's way south. Makes for soft photographic lighting too.
Dang HJ!
Your sunrise! My sunset!
Dang!
Thanks DougGREAT look today, Michael. Hat, suit, shoes... wonderful!
That's a great looking Royal Stetson. Nice vintage piece.Still one of my favorites, this grey-blue Royal Stetson goes so well with any number of shirts and jackets.

Thanks Steve. It's a nice suit with a couple of issues I need to work on. I think it's been mushroom hunting with me before, but I lazed out on the hunt today and went shopping instead.Yet another suit of yours I'm envious of, Michael. Great 3 piece and tie. Goes really with with the RS-OR. Hope you changed before mushroom hunting [emoji4]

Came home with this ratty shearling jacket, which required a hat change.

You too, Charlie. Happy holidays.Decisions, decisions.
On this Day of Atonement, what’s best for the holiday?!
