Curious, will a crease make a difference in how the hat looks to others? My Stetson has a center dent and the Buckaroo has a C Crown.
I kinda like the deeper creases of the Stetson but it may not make a whole hill of beans if changing the Buckaroo to a center dent would give the same...
Ok, silverbelly, wow, i guess throwing a grey ribbon makes it look greyer. MIke's looks like a very light grey (maybe equal to the Dove color that Rabbit has in his Art hats) and it was sharp, and I tried it on since it was hanging on a mannequin.
Paul, thanks. Im probably good to go as far as the brim and if it had to be trimmed, well, I guess Major Mike could redo the edge. Size 57 good for me you think, me being a measured 7 1/8 long oval? I guess if it is not bid up it is a great price even if Mike has to redo the binding and bash...
Like that hat. I have been talking with Nik, and Parker, about a new hat and since my Caribou Stetson Saxon is about the color of granite, that lends me to charcoal (dark grey I am guessing on his swatches chart) or steel. Silvermist is a bluer hue on the monitor and dove would be perfect but...
Thinking of getting another grey hat to go with my Caribou-colored Stetson. F ound an Akubra Federation on the 'bay and wondering if this is the more desireable Fed IV or if there are any concerns:

Business casual and this is the hat my wife says she loves me in, proportion-wise and color. Need another greyish one to go with, so maybe dove, charcoal, steel or silvermist:
RBH, I have learned when to keep my mouth shut and sit down and not piss off a judge. So I am being seated as I type this.
I did get to see Mike's Moorelite and I think it was a 7 1/2 but I liked its style and proportions. Could see that as my next hat but he doesnt do the lites anymore...
Guys, thanks. Major Mike said the same thing. He said he sees it all the time, women just don't like the hats that the men pick out as they are used to seeing baseball caps. Now that I put my mind to it, she just about hated all the hats when she did go with me to Mr. Hats in Memphis, though...
My wife did not like the choice of hat for today. I have a few all grey suits and sometimes, I think that my only other nice hat, a caribou-colored Stetson Saxon, is too much grey and too matchy-matchy. She thinks that the crown is too tall and between that and the thin ribbon, gives it a...
I have a Bailey Yates, wool, in black. Given that I have a wider brim now in my Buckaroo, this one seems so small and pedestrian. Dont know that I will get rid of it as I like to sit around the house with it, can put it on after a shower to go outside and get the paper, work with it around the...
I dont know if he ships overseas but I got a deal/steal on a parabuntal straw hat blocked in an optimo style from Buckaroo Hatters. I have a Panama Bob hat as well, a cuenca and Nik is right, compared to what most men get for what passes as a straw hat, the weave on my Cuenca looks great. I...
