I am with you, absolutely. Also, I'm tired of reading over and over again that or why Shinki HH is so expensive. I just wanted to explain the reason why that is, nothing more. Undoubtedly, the leather used by Eastman Leather is very nice and good quality as well, but whether it's actually an "alternative" (in terms of a replacement) maybe more a "choice", once you've hit the shinki horsehide route... (meant is the shinki hh used by FW* :)). I don't want open a bootle...- 58panheadfan

Good point. The dark spots are not noticable greasy as the other brighter leather sections. The jacket had from the beginning on darker sections (mottled). By wearing the jacket it darkened significantly at the points of stress. Also, the jacket get wet in a rain shower. But I think that's part...- 58panheadfan
