You've opend Pandora's Box
ohhh ohhh, the Pandora, the Box, the Epimetheus (he opened the original Pandora's Box).
It's just going to be stream of consciousness from everyone for the next four days.
Someone's going to offer me a beer tonight and I'll...
this is adictive
I'm back already with a couple more ideas.
the Flair
the Panache
de rigueur
Smooth Operator
the Attack Line
damn I like that hat. Got to get my brain working overtime in order to win it.
'the Tournament'
I also like 'the Rake' (noun, a dissolute man in fashionable society)
and in the same vein 'the Bounder'
'the Guild'
'the Fellow'
I could go on (and might later, but that's my top five off the top of my head)
air vac would probably refer to their patented "A-hat press for producing corrugations at the inside of the front quarter of the crown adjacent to and extending into the under face of the brim... thus providing air passages into the crown for ventilation."
you see, what they did, was build a...
not alone at all,
swimming holes, creeks, dams, rivers
Growing up in rural Australia that was the way to spend a hot summers day.
Often with a rope swing too.
much a better option than school.
Closest I can think of, off the top of my head would be a Burke & Wills full length duster

It's not what you want if you're going to dragon-con as hellboy, but if you're just after a full length that isn't an oilskin then it might...
another op-shop lid
I was out looking around the local op-shops with my daughter today (she is having an 80s themed party and needed Dr Martins Boots, a wide belt and a denim jacket).
Well, my eye fell upon a fur felt hat.
"The Parkchester" Exclusive to The Myer Store For Men. Superior Quality...
Salute of the Jugger
Yep,
I came to this thread to vote for this gem (called Salute of the Jugger in my part of the world). I saw it on late night TV many years ago and loved it. But then I believe that any post apocalyptic future must have Rutger Hauer in there somewhere.
I think as an...
As a 16 year old working in Sydney I had a haircut at Gowings once a fortnight. And years later, even when I'd moved interstate, if I was back in Sydney I always made sure I popped into the barbers there for a dose of nostalgia.
Damn I miss Gowings.
Stupid poor management that made them go...
Drizabone oilskins are better than the RM williams ones (IMHO).
But to complete the outfit you also need a pair of elastic sided boots (RM Williams or Baxter) and a pair of moleskin trousers (definately RMs).
Excuse me as I swell with Nationalistic Pride for one moment,
but Akubras all stand up to a hard life because they are designed to be worn by Aussie Bushmen. An Aussie farmer's Akubra will be worn for every moment of every day with the exception of time spent sleeping or at the dinner table...
Spent $10 today on another op-shop special.
An Akubra Flemington in Graphite Grey. It's bent out of shape, the band is missing, it's a fraction tight on me and due to dust and dirt I am not 100% sure on the colour (it could be a very faded navy) but I think I can make it into a nice hat...
I don't know about the Federation, in fact the Lounge is the only place I've heard of it (although I haven't gone looking).
Sorry,
But the Akubra factory does so many styles while their website only mentions the most common ones. So it is possible she'll find a whole pile of different styles...
The Styles commonly sold in Australia are not always the same as those sold in the American Market. So you might want to look at their Australian web page (which doesn't have all the styles you'll find in stores, but will give you some ideas). http://www.akubra.com.au/products_fashion.html...
I've got a botle open at the moment. It is my favourite scotch.
A friend of mine described it as sucking the sweat out of a peat cutter's boots.
So your wife is not alone in her distaste for this particular drop.
