Congrats on the Adam, that is a very nice hat; and yes, you did very well for 40 dollars. Good score and a wish for many more....lol

Bamboo
HD,
Thanks for the compliments.
Yes, the fly rods are made from Bamboo. A species that grows is a very tiny region in China, refered to as "Tonkin" Bamboo.
There rods are Hexagonal in Geometry. Each section of the rod, IE: the butt section and the tip section [2 pc rod] have 6...
My art is functional....
I have an art background and some machine shop skills gained while working with my dad on the side; this is where it led me to....I make these from scratch.
Amazing use of a Dremel...
Absoutely amazing what one can do with a Dremel. Fantastic!!
If you ever do a Trout, in motion, persuant to take a insect for his meal; I'd sure like to see that !!:eusa_clap
Tiller,
Thank you for your response. I appreciate the insight as to the possible value. If I end up selling it and get 50 or so dollars, I'd be happy with that.

That's a really nice piece. What clay have you used for it? I'm guessing low fire glazes?? The colors are great. Did you do some airbrush work to the fish.... I dig the transparencey. [ I didn't realize until I looked again, WOOD....very nice use of the medium ]
Meerschaum
I wish I could find some information regarding value; I was looking around on line and didn't find any like it to compare for pricing.

The law....
I never take the blade out of the house because they are illegal, not to mention I would hate to lose it or drop it and crack the horn.
I also store it open; I would think it preserves the spring. I'm not sure if it's illegal to own one though. Interesting, thing, I really don't...
Switchblade
Hey, thank you both for the compliments and for also posting one. There are so many neat ones out there; I hope the thread grows with more.
This Switchblade is a heirloom. It's been in the family a long time. My Uncle who was in the Navy at the time brought it home for my dad as a gift. I'm guessing it is about 50 [correction..... I'm almost 50, so this blade would more closer to perhaps 70 years old].
Rostfrei Blade, sweet...
Leader - Straight Razor
A friend of mien had an Antique Shop; before she sold, she gave me this nice razor. I love the looks of it; the handle's color is rich, the inlays and some nice engraving finish off the fine look.
The metal around the Logo is Blued or case hardened?? And the blade is...
I have a Meerschaum posted in the " show us your pipes " thread, posted last night. I am looking to get some information from any Loungers who know about these pipes and possible value. I'd like to know more before I possibly offer it up for sale. Thanks for taking a look.
