Does anyone have some fit-pics of the mulligan? I got a custom J-106 in natural cxl last year, but I'm considering getting one formal jacket for when the J-106 just isn't exactly right--thinking about the Mulligan in battered tan, olive stitching, olive drill lining, split cuffs so i can slide...
Yes! re: vertical inside pocket without closure. After my J-106, it feels like a battered tan Mulligan would be the perfect "suit jacket" leather for all those non J-106 days. Also, as much as I love the cxl dfhh, a slightly lighter jacket is appealing--not from a break-in perspective, just...
Weekly *bump* :) Aero wouldn't refund, obviously, because of the changes in design, but how good are they for trading in towards a new jacket? If no one buys, I might as well use this jacket towards another Aero for me, myself, and I...
Now that the weather is getting good and winter is over, *bump!*. Got her the Schott as per her requests--what can a man do?--but now I need to recoup some of my losses, since I couldn't actually afford to buy two fancy leather jackets, and I need to sell this one to plug that hole in the credit...
She wants a "tailored fit," and the Aero jacket is a bit tight and bunches around the bosom, and is loose at the waist. If I manage to sell, I'll bite the bullet and get her a Perfecto. I know that arguing is a lost cause ;)
Howdy folks,
I bought my girlfriend an Aero ladies motorcycle jacket in the fall, but it was too cold to wear by the time that we got it, and now that it's spring, she finds that it's not quite form fitting enough.
It has literally only been worn twice, once in the winter when she got it, and...
Someone elsewhere asked for an unboxing/lining shot, so here are a few more pics from the first few minutes of life for this jacket.
Black Watch (my old regiment) weathered light weight tartan lining.
I just got it this Monday :P But it's been 30+ degrees Celsius and I've been wearing it anyway, so the heat and the sun is doing a number on it. It took actually just 2 days of wearing it in scorching weather for it not to hurt to bend my arms in it :D
Amazing - the Schott x Context CX113 was, in fact, what lead me to this purchase! So it's cool to "look into the future" and see how my leather might age. Thanks!
Could be a tad shorter, but I like to go with the baseline build first, a straight 38, and then I can modify for future builds--and if the regular build works, even better. Had it really been off, I would have tried to sell it here and had another one built.
Finally--I wear my trousers high...
Here are some pictures of the back. Obviously, when unzipped, it's a wide back--when zipped, it's a lovely lovely narrow back, but very "masculine," i.e., it creates that broad shouldered, "V" upper body look.
I think I wrote in another thread--I don't have much stuff, so I don't mind paying a lot and "using it up." I don't have a motorcycle anymore, but when I did, I worked on it with my jacket; I plan to go camping, hiking, etc in this one, and lay it on the grass for my old lady to sit on, and what...
Nice weather today, so went out with the old lady to take some fit-pics. I'll send all the photos to Aero, the lot of them, many here unseen, so they can use them as they see fit.
Again, for those interested:
I'm 183cm, 75kg, 82-84cm waist, +-100cm chest.
Hat is a wool Tilley hat; trousers...
It's a real thing, that back makes you look more masculine by accentuating the shoulders and slimming your torso. But yes, the King of the Road back is my favourite of all the backs, and I spent like a week going through all the jackets to decide on which back to put on the J-106 front :D...
Do the DPD planes depart from EDINBURGH - UK? Would be sweet if so, but I bet they go to Germany or Poland and then get driven to Lithuania, so I doubt I'll get it before the weekend--although I'll pour libations and offer sacrifices if it does make it. Going to see this girl this weekend, and...
Now someone tell me what hat to wear with this ;) I'm a perfect 7 1/2 hat size, or 60cm, and for the past two years, have been wearing a olive-drab, wool, Tilley hat - this one to be specific:

But I'm open to other suggestions. Leaning more...
Sam said that he was excited to make it, and that the King of the Road back is his favourite :) As, for me, the J-106 has the most distinct front, the King of the Road back seemed like the obvious choice if going full-busy, and as I plan to wear this jacket all year round, throat-latch is a...
