+1. As my good friend Mr Peacot will verify, I imported a very nice size 40" peacoat from over the pond, that should have fit me, only to find the shoulder width was huge! I have since acquired another 40" that fits a treat.
My advice would be to use the tagged size as your starting...
Many thanks for posting, jacket looks very nice. Difficult to appreciate it from self taken mirror photos, but great to see a BK owner on here reviewing a jacket at last. If we could only get a Westfall owner to give us a review, I might just be tempted :-)
Butte - Deck jacket looks the biz. Had my eye on one for a while now, fit looks spot on.
The Ventura looks as cool as ever, all these photos of Venturas are making me weep!
Merry Christmas!
Ha ha, got 2 to choose from now but it hasn't been cold enough this year to wear one, perhaps up there it might be. My kudu Pioneer is getting all the wear at the moment, its just so comfortable. Thinking of pulling in a trip to AL while I'm in the area too, just not sure which order to do...
Very nice vintage jacket, you did well to find one with long enough arms, they are always too short for me. Many old jackets have collars that lie like that, looks right to me. Don't think wet and shape would hurt it but it will probably just want to flatten out again. Good fit!
You did we'll to push for what you wanted, these are expensive jackets and need to be right. The Happy Happy Happy quote was just a result of me getting back from the pub and watching Duck Dynasty, love that show!
Please post some fit pics when the jacket arrives.
I would try for a refund. Buying vintage leather jackets is a minefield, with mold and odours being a major issue. If you asked if there were any smells or mold and the seller didn't answer, that would have been the end of it for me, no matter how good the jacket looked.
