Black goatskin half-belt by Johnson Leathers

Good looking half belt, looks very well made. I've yet to own a goatskin jacket, but looking at the quality of that hide and the way it's draping already, I'd be very tempted. Great fit too, enjoy!

    My new aero mulligan

Have to agree, the half belt placement is spot on. Nice Iron Heart jeans by the way, what model are they, Beatle Busters, 634's?

    Aero 1920s Original Hercules

Nice jacket mate, my favourite pattern from Aero's recent designs. Can't believe how quickly the grain is showing, should be a killer when it's broken in. As for fit, it's such a personal thing but I would choose more length in the body and sleeves. As it stands it's probably period correct...

    Ironheart/Alexander cafe racer with collar!

The Final Aero Highwayman in my Trilogy (hopefully)

Good luck with it Lenny, a 22.5" back does seem very short but it sounds like you've done your homework.

A2 or Half Belf, which one first?

Ishmael - that's a cracking jacket/coat. Nice length, button cuffs, button front but no half-belt, I could wear that all day long. It's like traditional car coat from the back, but a Maxwell from the front - Killer! I would probably loose the throat latch though.

    Is this jacket too short?

For me, it's just a bit too short. Sleeves down to the first knuckle of thumb, add 1 /2" to the back and it's perfect. These are only personal opinions, of course, it's what *you* feel comfortable with that matters. As you've asked the question though, you must have doubts. From my own...

After a spate of selling and trading: Aero - Highwayman, Pioneer Pike Bros - N-1 Deck jacket USN - Peacoats x2 Carhartt - Detroit Barbour - x2 I'm clearly very deprived of outerwhere and need a lot more jackets! A New aero is on order :-)
