Came in from work and switched on the TV to catch the news. As I was about to change channel I caught sight of Michael Buerk, a BBC newsreader, on a day time TV show. He is wearing what I think is an ANJ3a.

Hi nick123, the jacket I have is an old cafe racer, it still has a partial one remaining the others have broken off. It looks as though they can be hooked on the zip slider and then the hook closed with some pliers. I imagine over the years this hook loosened enabling them to...
Apparently Herbert Johnson is going to relaunch shortly as a traditional hatters. This was posted on their Facebook page back in November. Apologies if this has already been mentioned.
After Many years Herbert Johnson Hatters civillian is going through a re-boot.
It's about time...

Guys
Thanks for the reassurance regarding the knits. The A1 it is.
Sloan, I love suede, but I find it doesn't love the British weather! Cool jacket though.
BTW - Watched the 'Man who fell to earth' over the weekend. What loses we suffered in 2016.

This is probably a long shot but I'm looking for either an A1 or an Aero, Aeromarine / Himmel Heron style leather jacket. I.e. 20's style button fastening shawl collar.
Size 42 from a respected maker.
Many thanks

Horsehide: tough, nice grain, but...

Before I place an order for a new one, I thought I'd check if anyone is looking to offload a M422a from one of the respected repro manufacturers. I wear a size 42.
Many thanks
Just catching up with the forum and this thread in particular. Some really nice hats. Mike didn't have silver-mist when I was putting my collection together. Must resist....
Hi Torsten
If the reason you're selling is because the fit is poor, i.e. Too tight around the torso, I'd speak to Aero, that chest measurement surely cannot be correct for a 44, it would be too tight for me and I have a 41" chest. My Buco j-100 measures 53.5,cm, (21 inches ) and that is snug...
