Never hurts to ask right. Worst thing that happens is a "no". That was my modus operandi during my single college years! I also gave a reasonable lower offer for that vintage G1 I have coming in and it was accepted. Not trying to steal / low ball, but enough to offset for potential repairs etc...
Second this. For actual riding, the Force pattern (comp hide) is my best fitting jacket across 6 Vansons. And that's with / without armor velcro'd in. It just works.
Brooks 42 Gold Label brown - even trade for 42 Brooks Gold Black. Main zip in excellent shape, hardly any wear near box/pin. Two small pin holes underneath left chest pocket from previous owner attaching pin. Cuff lining has a couple small glue repairs that has held since Ive owned it.

Was conditioning some jackets last night and the vintage itch struck again. My first G1, as I need a new project jacket. Star Sportswear or something but it looks like the goat should spring back to life with some tlc. I'm actually starting to dig the vintage route more than brand new. You...
Adding a couple pics of the remake. With proper lining this time, black rayon and not the toasty warm red quilted fabric. I run hot in general so even in cool weather, the quilt would overheat on me. The tough rayon lining was also critical as I went James Bond on this one. Hidden center back...
If only you didn't have ape arms my Aero Blizzard in the classifieds might have worked! Shameless plug I know ;)
Aired out the 70's amf Harley cycle champ today. Size 42 and just a tad uncomfortably short right at the middle buckle line.
"The Heavy Bison is Heavily grained." ...... Godzilla Grained!! Even larger than the horween black bison HB I had from SB a couple years back. Super heavy but surprisingly does break in softer than comparable steer/horse.
Aero / Schott / Vanson up for grabs. Also need to add photos of my brown 42 Brooks Gold Label CR. Looking to even trade for a black gold label. I keep trying to branch out into brown leathers but I'm just a black kind of guy.
Thanks. Interesting model none the less. If only I could find the matching real fur collar for this one. Perfect casual wear style as this one appears to be out of vansons z150 type hide and not full comp weight. Also no bulky leather gun pocket which is great on the bike but a bit much for...
Updated photos. Fully re-condtioned with some pecards. Though it might soak up more? Still no idea on when this is from as I can find no tags anywhere or serial #
True. Probably the safest way to avoid error. Just copy the existing pattern and the lining will have the exact same fit. Takes the guess work / pattern work out of it. Have the tweed option in three Aero's and I really find the wool versatile across a wide temp range.
Doing a reline / new zip job on this Lost Worlds I picked up from our classifieds (GMCD) and wanted some input from the lounge. Im only re-lining the body as the sleeves are perfect heavy duty satin. Fabric will be a moss green Harris Tweed I sourced. Jacket is on its way to Johnson Leathers...
Hmm, I think that is going to be way too big for you and you should post up the measurements so I can confirm it fits me perfectly ;) Awesome pickup on that one.
And congrats on the huge huevos for putting that through the wash!! I thought I had big balls for tossing a Vanson in the gentle...
I'm also a recent convert to early 70s Harley jackets and love my AMF Sportster. All nickel matching Scoville's. Same heavy duty horsehide. Your's must have gotten built on a Friday or by one of new AMF employees. Some hardware from this bin, some from that and the bike is done!
Back length on the beater Excelled is from base of collar.
Tony- for you sure. Ha. But that Blizzard is a true 40 IMO and would be too snug. Have to account for the thicker lining etc
Will do tomorrow as it just arrived today. Also shot an email to Kim at Vanson w this pic as I was conveniently already chatting with her about the last detail on my custom chopper remake. It has the newer tag but having a Talon main zip and these funky sleeve zips is whats throwing me for a loop.
